05.03.2013 - This season too – the tenth under the artistic leadership of Ted Brandsen – the Dutch National Ballet is presenting a rich and varied programme of five world premieres, two Dutch premieres, a Gala to open the season, favourite classics and new interpretations of well-known works. The season also sees the start of the Junior Company: a new company of top young talented artists.

06.05.2013 - On 1 May 2013, Matthew Golding made his debut as a guest artist with The Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House in London. As in June, he will be making his debut as a guest artist with English National Ballet.

02.04.2013 - The 360-page book Herinneringen aan Sonia Gaskell (Memories of Sonia Gaskell) tells the personal story of dancer and choreographer Rudi van Dantzig, former artistic director of the Dutch National Ballet, and his teacher Sonia Gaskell, the founder of the company.

11.03.2013 - As of 1 January 2013, the British conductor Matthew Rowe takes up the position of musical director of the Dutch National Ballet. He succeeds Ermanno Florio, who has held the position since 2004.

26.11.2012 - Remi Wörtmeyer will be promoted to principal as of 1 January 2013. The Australian dancer joined the company in 2010. Wörtmeyer will be making his debut as a principal in the programme Best of Balanchine, which will be presented in The Amsterdam Music Theatre from 7 February.
