Since Ted Brandsen started as creative director, top choreographers like Alexei Ratmansky, Martin Schläpfer, David Dawson, Dominique Dumais, Christopher Wheeldon, Benjamin Millepied, David Dawson, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Nicolo Fonte have created new works for the company. For the 2011 | 2012 season, the golden jubilee season, new works are expected from David Dawson, Hans van Manen, Krzysztof Pastor, Juanjo Arqués, Alexei Ratmansky, Ton Simons, Ted Brandsen, Lightfoot/León and Christopher Wheeldon.

The Dutch National Ballet puts much time and effort into discovering and developing choreography talent. Dancers from within the company, and young choreographers from outside the Dutch National Ballet are given an opportunity to experiment and create new works. It's the best way to nurture fresh, new talent.

As well as dancers and (technical) staff, many other artists are involved in a ballet production. It is this interaction that leads to exciting new impulses, that stretch the boundaries of the art of dance. In the coming years the company will continue to seek intense co-operation with dramaturgists, composers, singers, actors, artists, [video]directors and designers from all over the world as well as the Netherlands.
