Ernst has choreographed various works for the Dutch National Ballet, including The little big chest and the Dutch National Canta Ballet. In September 2010, he created De Trap for the occasion of the reopening of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
Ernst Meisner is the artistic coordinator of the Junior Company of the Dutch National Ballet. At the beginning of March 2013, he choreographed a new work to music by Jude Vaclavik, for the New York Choreographic Institute, which is affiliated with New York City Ballet.
