The young Mexican dancer Isaac Hernández is recognised internationally as having great promise. He joined the Dutch National Ballet this season. Isaac comes from a family of ten, and his ballet training started with lessons from his father Hector Hernández Valle at their home in Guadalajara. He was given a scholarship to continue his training in the United States at The Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia. In 2008, he joined San Francisco Ballet, where he was promoted to soloist in 2010. Isaac won gold at the USA International Ballet Competition 2006, bronze and a special commendation at the International Ballet Competition in Moscow in 2005, and first place at the International Ballet Competition in Cuba in 2004.
