Before that, Jurgita danced with the Royal Swedish Ballet. She was trained at the National Ballet Art Academy in Vilnius (Lithuania) and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. She has won several international dance awards, including first prize at the Grasse Ballet Competition in France. Last spring, Jurgita received the Expressivity Award at the international dance festival Dance Open in St. Petersburg, and at the beginning of 2011 she was rewarded the Merit Prize of the Premio Internazionale ApuliArte (Italy).
