biography

Last season, Sefton Clarke was nominated by the VSCD for the ‘Zwaan’ award for Best Dance Achievement for his role in Solo, by Hans van Manen.

Sefton trained at the Royal Ballet School, in his hometown London. Following his training, he danced with The Royal Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Ballett der Deutschen Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, the Swiss Zürcher Ballett and the Ballett der Wiener Staatsoper.

In 2000, he joined the Dutch National Ballet, where he worked his way up to second soloist in five years’ time.
