biography

One year before graduating from the Hungarian Dance Art Academy in his hometown of Budapest, Tamás Nagy had already won two ballet awards: first prize at a competition organised by the school and the Horvàt Margit Academy Award. This was to be followed by many more awards, including second prize at the Nureyev International Ballet Competition in 1996. Following his training, Tamás danced with the Hungarian National Ballet for five years, where he still often returns as a guest artist. In 1999, he joined the Dutch National Ballet as a principal.
