biography
Viktoriya Ananyan was promoted this season to second soloist. She was born in Jerevan, in Armenia, but trained as a dancer two thousand kilometres away at the Ballet Academy of the Perm State Theatre, in Russia. Alongside the Vaganova Academy and the Bolshoi Ballet School, it is one of the top three Russian dance academies. Following her training, Viktoriya danced with the Tchaikovsky Perm Ballet for four years, where she reached the rank of principal. In 2007, she joined the Dutch National Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet.
