Queen Beatrix visits the Gala - 50 years of the Dutch National Ballet on the 13th of september. The head of state will be accompanied by Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima.
The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary on Tuesday 13 September with a special gala, that will take place in The Amsterdam Music Theatre, home to the Dutch National Ballet and De Nederlandse Opera since 1986.
The anniversary performance will include works by choreographers Rudi van Dantzig, Hans van Manen, Toer van Schayk and Ted Brandsen. The performance will be danced by the whole company, with pupils of the National Ballet Academy and several guest artists from abroad.
