On Monday 10 October, the Dutch National Ballet welcomed 250 amateur photographers to The Amsterdam Music Theatre. Het Nationale Ballet op de foto is a photography competition organised by the Amsterdam newspaper Het Parool, in conjunction with the largest dance company in the Netherlands. The best photos will be displayed in the city in the first week of December. The jury comprises Ted Brandsen, Ronald Ockhuysen (editor-in-chief of Het Parool) and Martin Pyper (art director).
Het Parool has previously published a series of articles about famous photographers who have photographed the Dutch National Ballet in the past.
