Come to Fall4Dance and spend a weekend enjoying everything that professional dance in Amsterdam has to offer! There is a wide variety of performances, from virtuoso classical to exciting modern. So let the dancing begin!
In Frascati, on Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September, exciting young talents will be showing new works. They include the collective Furthur Labelz, who are presenting the exhibition Still in Motion in collaboration with the Dutch National Ballet.
Part of the exhibition is the dance installation Still in Motion, consisting of Autoscopy and Personal Space, choreographed by Peter Leung, and Huis, choreographed by Matthew Sky Pawlicki-Sinclair. Both choreographers are dancers with the Dutch National Ballet. The installation will be shown at the Frascati theatre in Amsterdam on Friday 20 (19.30 - 22.30 – with a film by Erik Sawaya and Paul E. Visser), Saturday 21 (19.30 - 22.30) and Sunday 22 September (18.30-21.30). Still in Motion also includes contributions by Sterre van Rossem (text), Eva Meijer (drawings), Bowie Verschuuren and Adrien Dantou (photography) and Wijnand van der Horst (lighting design). There are film contributions from Mathieu Gremillet, Christopherson Holloran and Bart Wijsman. There is free admission to Frascati 3.
On Sunday 22 September, Frascati will burst at the seams with a programme in all the auditoriums, packed with performances, dance films, delicious food and drink, and after-talks – as well as a fantastic closing party.
The Amsterdam Music Theatre
As part of Fall4Dance, on Friday 20 September in The Amsterdam Music Theatre, the Dutch National Ballet will be dancing Corps, a unique programme of works by leading choreographers, including Michel Fokine, the Dutch master of choreography Hans van Manen, and a Dutch premiere by the choreographers’ duo Emio Greco | Pieter C. Scholten.
In the Stadsschouwburg, on Saturday 21 September, artist Jan Fabre is presenting his famous, eight-hour-long production Het is theater zoals te verwachten en te voorzien was.
