On Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October 2013, the first edition of KANTOR will take place. KANTOR is a new cultural event at a special location: the vacant office block of Bright Offices, in Sloterdijk (Amsterdam), where there is a 360° view of the Amsterdam skyline.
One of the performances in the festival is Personal Space, choreographed by Dutch National Ballet dancer Peter Leung in 2008 for the full-length programme In Space. It will be danced by Erica Horwood (grand sujet), Tess Sturmann (corps de ballet), Anu Viheriäranta (principal) and Sasha Mukhamedov (soloist).
Leung's The Black Sea Still will be danced at Sunday (16h00). The choreography on music of composer Max Richter will be danced by Hannah de Klein, Clotilde Tran-Phat, Matthew Pawlicki-Sinclair and Wolfgang Tietze.
The festival has been organised by PUP and PaardenKracht (PPP). KANTOR aims to introduce the public to an innovative selection of art and culture, music, food and technology. During KANTOR, vacant workplaces will provide space for a theatre, an artists’ café, a gallery and a cinema where it is possible to dance.
