  PASTOR’S TRISTAN IN WARSAW
Dutch National Ballet Resident Choreographer Krzysztof Pastor mounted his work Tristan on the Polish National Opera Ballet. The ballet, which is based on Joseph Bédier ’s novel Tristan and Isolde, had its premiere with the Royal Swedish Ballet in 2006.

Pastor is a much sought-after international choreographer. At the end of 2007 he was invited by the Moscow Bolshoi Ballet to work with prima ballerina Svetlana Zakharova and in May 2008 Scottish Ballet premiered his version of Romeo and Juliet in Edinburgh. For the Dutch National Ballet’s programme Les Ballets Russes 100 Years Pastor created the new ballet Sheherazade and there are new works by him planned for the 2009-2010 Season.
