TED BRANDSEN ON THE JURY OF YOUTH AMERICA GRAND PRIX
Artistic Director of the Dutch National Ballet Ted Brandsen was a member of the jury of the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP). The YAGP is an international ballet competition for young dancers aged 9-19, which took place this year from 17 to 21 April in New York. The competition rounded off with a gala featuring stars from the world’s major dance companies, including Dutch National Ballet dancers Maia Makhateli and Sascha Radetsky.

The YAGP is the world’s most important international competition for ballet students. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the competition.

The YAGP supports ballet schools and ballet students worldwide. It also organizes international workshops and audition classes. The organization’s regular partners alongside the Dutch National Ballet include major dance companies such as San Francisco Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Paris Opera Ballet and New York City Ballet. YAGP is supported by Unesco.
