HANS VAN MANEN OPENS TRADING DAY
On the morning of Wednesday 21 October at the invitation of Euronext Amsterdam, Dutch National Ballet Resident Choreographer Hans van Manen beat the gong on the stock exchange floor at Beursplein No. 5 in Amsterdam. The beating of the gong is part of a regular ritual that marks the official opening of a trading day.
Van Manen was accompanied by Cédric Ygance, Dutch National Ballet principal dancer and winner of the Zwaan award for best dance performance in the 2008-2009 Season, and Stijn Schoonderwoerd, Administrative Director of the Dutch National Ballet.
